TheSMYD4ChemiluminescentAssayKitisdesignedtomeasureSMYD4activityforscreeningandprofilingapplications.TheSMYD4ChemiluminescentAssayKitcomesinaconvenientformat,with96-wellplateprecoatedwithaspecificsubstrate,theantibodyagainstmethylatedlysineresidueofHistoneH3,asecondaryHRP-labeledantibody,Sadenosylmethionine,methyltransferaseassaybuffer,andpurifiedSMYD4enzymefor96enzymereactions.ThekeytotheSMYD4ChemiluminescentActivityAssayKitisahighlyspecificantibodythatrecognizesmethylatedresidueofHistoneH3.Withthiskit,onlythreesimplestepsarerequiredformethyltransferasedetection.First,S-adenosylmethionineisincubatedwithasamplecontainingassaybufferandmethyltransferaseenzyme.Next,primaryantibodyisadded.Finally,theplateistreatedwithanHRP-labeledsecondaryantibodyfollowedbyadditionoftheHRPsubstratetoproducechemiluminescencethatcanthenbemeasuredusingachemiluminescencereader.
