TheNF-κB-luciferase/HCT-116celllineissuitableformonitoringtheactivityofNF-κBsignaling
inresponsetostimulantssuchasthecytokinesTNFandIL-1β,pathogen-associated
molecularpattern(PAMP)(i.e.flagellin)orendogenousdamage-associatedmolecularpattern
(DAMP)molecules(i.e.NOD1ligand)(seeapplicationreferences).Itisalsosuitablefor
establishingcell-basedscreensforinhibitorsthattargetspecificNF-κBstimulatingmolecules.
ThiscelllinecanbefurthermodifiedtoallowinvestigationofdownstreamNF-κBactivitiesasa
