Milrinone, also known as WIN 47203 and Primacor®, is an inhibitor of PDE3. It is less effective against other PDE isoforms. Milrinone has positive inotropic and vasodilatory effects in vivo.
Purity:
≥98% by HPLC
Biological Activity:
Milrinone inhibits PDE3A and PDE3B with IC50 values of 0.45 µM and 1.0
µM, respectively.
Solubility:
Soluble in DMSO and DMF, purged with an inert gas. Solubility in DMSO and DMF is ~0.3 mg/ml.
Format:
A crystalline solid.
Storage / Stability:
Store at or below –20°C. Solid form is stable at least 12 months from date of receipt, when stored as directed. Do not store aqueous solutions for more than one day.
