Description:
Ezetimibeisananti-hyperlipidemicmedicationwhichisusedtolowercholesterollevels.Specifically,itappearstobindtoacriticalmediatorofcholesterolabsorption,theNiemann-PickC1-Like1(NPC1L1)proteinonthegastrointestinaltractepithelialcellsaswellasinhepatocytes.
