Description:
TheHistoneH3(K9)UniversalMethyltransferaseAssayKitisdesignedforthedetectionofhistoneH3(K9)methyltransferase(HMT)activityinscreeningandprofilingapplications.ThekeytotheHistoneH3(K9)UniversalMethyltransferaseAssayKitisahighlyspecificantibodythatrecognizesmethylatedK9residueofHistoneH3.Withthiskit,onlythreesimplestepsonamicrotiterplatearerequiredformethyltransferasedetection.First,Sadenosylmethionineisincubatedwithasamplecontainingassaybufferandmethyltransferaseenzymeforonehour.Next,primaryantibodyisadded.Finally,theplatesaretreatedwithanHRP-labeledsecondaryantibodyfollowedbyadditionoftheHRPsubstratetoproducechemiluminescencethatcanthenbemeasuredusingachemiluminescencereader.
