TheEHMT1(GLP)DirectActivityChemiluminescentAssayKitisdesignedtomeasureEHMT1,alsoknownasG9a-likeproteinorGLPactivityforscreeningandprofilingapplications.ThekeytotheEHMT1(GLP)ChemiluminescentAssayKitisahighlyspecificantibodythatrecognizesmethylatedK9residueofH3.Withthiskit,onlythreesimplestepsonamicrotiterplatearerequiredformethyltransferasedetection.First,S-adenosylmethionineisincubatedwithasamplecontainingassaybufferandmethyltransferaseenzymeforonehour.Next,primaryantibodyisadded.Finally,theplateistreatedwithanHRP-labeledsecondaryantibodyfollowedbyadditionoftheHRPsubstratetoproducechemiluminescencethatcanthenbemeasuredusingachemiluminescencereader.
